From an early age, Nick was drawn to faces and to capturing the spark of a person’s character through exaggeration and humour. While he admired the bite of political cartooning in the Sunday papers, it was the whimsy and imagination of caricaturists like Mort Drucker (Mad Magazine), John Spooner (The Age), David Levine (The New York Review of Books), and Tullio Pericoli (L’Espresso) that truly inspired him.
Nick became a regular cover artist for Sydney’s Inner west newspaper The Sydney City Hub in the mid1990s and then enjoyed a rewarding run as an editorial cartoonist, contributing to a variety of Australian publications including Empire, FHM, and FilmInk and The Sydney Morning Herald.
In the mid 2010's Nick returned to Caricature with his instagram account, under the banner of "Caricaturing the Mystery".
